
Plymouth CAB, as part of a network of advice agencies*, is arranging a training programme for advice workers wherever they work.
The current programme runs from April 08 - March 09 and includes more than 70 different courses with over 30 tutors. To download the Training Brochure, the Terms and Conditions of Booking and a Booking Form please follow the instructions below the links.
There are many advice subjects covered; some generic and some subject specific such as benefits, debt, employment, housing and immigration. There are also topics covering good practice, e.g. case strategies and tactics, dealing with life crisies, e.g. the birth of a baby, raising awareness, e.g. advising older people, what if.... e.g. you have difficult or abusive clients, some seminars such as working with the media and several courses on IT.
Prices start at £25 per half day course for those working in the voluntary/charity sector. We welcome anyone who can easily get to our premises in the city centre onto our training.
