Getting advice from CAB

Welcome to Plymouth Citizens Advice Bureau, a confidential and impartial advisory service for residents of Plymouth. 

The CAB can help in the following ways:-

  • Explain complicated documents that use difficult language
  • Give impartial advice on your rights and responsibilities
  • Negotiate with local authorities (creditors or bailiffs, for example)
  • Speak and write on your behalf
  • Lend a sympathetic ear
 
Training Courses 2009-2010

Plymouth CAB and its partner group Advice for All are running a series of training courses throughout 2009-2010 on a wide range of issues including debt, homelessness, mental health, benefits, tax credits and more.

Vacancy: ‘Parents Apart’ Money Advice Caseworker

14 hours per week, 6 month contract, £22,455 (pro rata). Parents Apart is a one year pilot project, funded by the Department of Children, Schools and Families, to support parents and children who are having difficulty separating.
